And for us it is defaulting to TIF causing our scanned files to be 10x larger than they would be if they were PDF.įor now our work around is we push the scan button on the scanner, use the Epson Scan program to scan to PDF, then instead of clicking capture in our software we click insert, browse for the file, then select it. It only scans one at a time (as far as I can see). The worst one being that it won't scan multiple pages. The problem is this utility has very limited options. You can search online for this image and see all different makes and models. This is the built in scan utility that comes with Windows. This program is not specific to our scanner. It happens in MS Paint when you click "From scanner or camera". You click a "capture" button and the Windows built-in scan utility starts up:Īpparently anytime a program simply asks the operating system to scan this is the program that is used. Our billing software allows us to scan directly into the software itself.
